Footage Rights Notice

Your wedding film is made from the photos, videos and audio that your guests film and upload. This notice explains who owns that footage and what you need to do about it. Please read it before you book.

1. Who Owns the Footage

Footage generally belongs to the person who filmed it, unless they have lawfully passed their rights to someone else. Most of your film will come from your guests, who own what they film. Their permission for us to use it comes from our Guest Upload Agreement (www.myweddingraws.com/guest-upload-agreement), which every guest accepts before uploading.

2. Your Responsibility

Under your Client Service Agreement, you are responsible for:

Sharing your upload link or QR code with your guests, and making sure they know about the Guest Upload Agreement.
Making sure that all footage submitted for your film can lawfully be used for editing your film and for the promotional uses described in your agreement.
Telling wedding participants and contributors that footage may be used in publicly available promotional material.
Not providing music or other third-party material unless you have the permission to use it.

This notice is a plain-English summary. If it and your Client Service Agreement ever differ, the agreement applies.

3. Footage From Professionals

If you want footage from a professional content creator, videographer, photographer or other third-party rights holder included in your film, that person or business usually owns the rights to it, not you. We can only use it if they give permission.

To help with this, we offer an optional Third-Party Footage Permission Form (www.myweddingraws.com/third-party-footage-permission-form-v1). The creator completes and submits it. It gives us permission to edit their footage into your film and, if they choose, to use it in our promotion. You can send them the link.

The form is optional. It does not replace your responsibility to make sure that all footage submitted for your film is properly authorised. If permission is unclear, we may leave footage out of your film or ask you to replace it.

4. Questions

If you are not sure whether you have the right to use some footage, email support@myweddingraws.com before you book or before the footage is submitted.
